Where can I buy water distiller parts and filters?
WaterDistillers.com sells replacement parts and filters for Durastill, Pure Water (Mini Classic CT, SteamPure, Midi Classic, Mega Classic and older models), Waterwise, Dolfyn and non-electric water distillers. If a part is not pictured online, call 888-477-7912 or 612-701-7820 — they can still get it for you.
Which filter does my water distiller use?
Durastill distillers use a 6-inch sediment pre-filter (WD200-312, or the Gold Label scale-inhibitor WD200-396 for hard water) and a charcoal post-filter (WD200-313). The Pure Water Mini Classic CT and SteamPure use coconut-carbon post-filters; the Midi Classic, Fountain Classic and Liberty Classic use post-filter WD1593; the Mega Classic and Aqua Fountain use WD32513; and the Waterwise 3200 uses a coconut-carbon post-filter 2-pack.
What does a water distiller post-filter do?
A carbon post-filter polishes water after distillation. Compounds that boil at a lower temperature than water, such as some volatile organic compounds (VOCs), can travel with the steam; the activated carbon helps reduce them and improves the taste of distilled water.
What is the difference between a Durastill pre-filter and a Gold Label pre-filter?
Both are 6-inch pre-filters that sit before the distiller on Durastill automatic models. The standard pre-filter (WD200-312) traps sediment; the Gold Label pre-filter (WD200-396) adds a scale inhibitor for hard water, helping reduce mineral scale in the boiling tank. Versions with fittings are WD400-443 and WD400-526.
How often should I replace water distiller filters?
Follow the schedule in your distiller’s owner’s manual, and replace a carbon post-filter sooner if you notice a change in taste or odor. Maintenance kits for Durastill, Mini Classic CT and SteamPure bundle fresh filters with descaler so you can do both at once.
Which heating element fits my water distiller?
Durastill Model 30 distillers use a 1000-watt element and Model 46 distillers use a 1500-watt element. For Pure Water: Mini Classic CT uses WD716B (750 W), SteamPure uses WD632 (650 W), Midi Classic uses WD633 (1000 W) and Mega Classic uses WD634 (1500 W); 240-volt versions end in V.
How do I remove scale from a water distiller?
Use a distiller descaler in the boiling tank following your owner’s manual, then rinse. WaterDistillers.com carries Lumen (sulfamic acid) and Still Clean descalers, plus maintenance kits that combine descaler with replacement filters.
Do you have Dolfyn water distiller parts?
Yes. Dolfyn heating elements, thermal resets, fan motors, lid gaskets, switches, micro switches, tank cords and other parts are listed on the Dolfyn parts page. Call 612-701-7820 for current availability.
